Seeing Is Believing: Solar Home Tours

164 Cameron Kinney Hill is a newly built house designed to maximize energy efficiency. The house is oriented with large south facing windows to take advantage of passive solar energy, has double insulated walls 45cm (18 inches) thick, and a 7.44 kW (8600 kwh/year) roof-mounted solar voltaic system. Energy consumption and production are on track for the house to reach net-zero energy consumption in its first year.

Free tours to interested members of the public will run from 10:00am until 12:00pm.

Directions from Antigonish: Travel on Highway #7 until you reach the Ultramar. Turn left on to Cameron Kinney Hill (directly across from the Ultramar). Travel 1 km up Cameron Kinney Hill. 164 is the second to last house on the right. The house is brown with a red roof.
